The Man Cave
By Suzanne Cruz
I purchased this for my husband to put in the barn, or the Man Cave, as we call it. Men love to burn things and when it's raining outside, he throws the barn door agape, opens the small iron door to the Potbelly stove, and begins the ritual of dropping first small and then consecutively larger pieces of wood down into the mouth of the stove.
By the time the fire takes on a life of its own, he starts shutting and opening vents in order to give it enough oxygen to settle into a steady heat. Then he puts a little tea kettle on top of it, walks over to the house where I am and says, "would you like to come over to my man cave for a cup of tea?" I go and we share stories around the Potbelly stove with our cups of tea as we watch the rain fall outside.
I love this stove and this man, (man not included with sales price)
